Otherwise, had a lot of fun with it, and having 4-player online co-op (with or without friendly fire) would be a blast in the final version if the devs can swing it. I felt like there were plenty of upgrade opportunities in the actual missions, so it felt pointless exploring elsewhere (and if so, why have such populated sectors?) Second, I may have glanced over a tutorial, but it would be nice if the planets without an explicit mission had something going for them beyond the vague promise of money and possible chests. I did have a couple notes:įirst of all, there absolutely must be an option to turn off controller vibration in the final version of the game. Once I got the hang of the grappling hook, it made level traversal a breeze, since it restores your double jump and you have effectively infinite verticality. It's overall a lot of fun to blaze your own path through each level, especially once you get weapons that can just tear through any kind of ground type. Like a lot of roguelikes, your odds of success depend greatly on your build, but moreso on your knowledge of enemy and boss patterns. As expected, the game itself is a lot of fun.
